My Top 10 Self Care Activities

Taking time to enjoy nature, whether that’s hiking in a forest or closer to home going to a park, garden, or just sitting on the deck of my boat. There’s plenty of evidence that getting outside is good for our mental health and I always find it brings a real sense of peace.
Taking a yoga class. I love the balance of challenging your body to be stronger and more flexible, alongside deep relaxation.
Reading something soothing with a cup of tea. I love snuggling up with a book or magazine to flick through and just take some time to get out of my own head.
Treating myself to a rare spa treatment - ideally a facial or massage.
Having an at home spa hour and doing my own facial or nails.
Bubble baths with a book and a glass of wine.
Listening to an audio book while cooking something simple, tasty and nutritious.
Writing something self-reflective, whether its a gratitude journal or a list like this one.
Watching uplifting Ted Talks and reflecting on how much opportunity there is in the world.
Finding creative inspiration on Pinterest and replicating it myself.
